Life is Like a Box of Chocolates
I love chocolate. I mean, I really, really love chocolate. There’s not much that can stop me from eating chocolate. So, it’s a big deal when I say that I recently got a box of chocolate to review and it took me a few days before I could bring myself to try a piece. Why, you ask? Just look at them!

Have you ever seen cooler looking chocolate? I mean, I’ve had “turtles” before, but they’ve never looked like TURTLES! At Red Thread Confections, chocolatier, Annika, makes these incredible confections by hand using only the finest organic ingredients.
My favorite one is the Mayan Fire. I love the cinnamon and touch of heat in this candy. Or maybe it’s the Orange Celebration. There’s no tastier combination than dark chocolate and orange with a touch of candied ginger. Unless it’s maybe the homemade vanilla
marshmallow smothered in dark chocolate. Mmmmm. Ok, they’re all sinfully delicious!

It’s a little sad to think of eating such awesome looking chocolates, but you’ll be glad you did when you savor Annika’s tasty combinations.
Leave a comment for a chance to win a medium assortment box of Red Thread Chocolates! We’ll choose a winner on Monday, the 28th! Don’t wait to buy your handmade chocolate to find out if you’re the winner. If you happen to win, and you’ve already made your purchase, you’ll get a refund or another box for free!

Chocolate makes life worth living - or so Bobby Jack says.
I’ve also read that it keeps you from being too aggressive - Give me chocolate and no one gets hurt - so I say. I too would hate to eat such a pretty creation but sometimes in life you just have to sacrifice LOL Sorry little turtle - may you have a peaceful afterlife in my tummy!!

Do you know if they’re free trade as well as organic?
Hi Jennifer LB,
Yes, I use Fair Trade Organic chocolate for all of my confections. The other Fair Trade ingredients that I use are Well Earth Sustainable Business Initiatives Fair Trade Pure Vanilla (from India) and Fair Trade Ethiopian Coffee. For my other ingredients, I try to use local, small farm coop, or organic where ever possible. Thanks for asking!
I hope I am not to late
I need chocolates! I can always diet in 2009!
