I have one stuffed animal that I truly have had my entire life. I got it as a gift the day I was born. My grandparents brought it to me in the hospital. I still have it this day. It sits in my daughter’s crib and she plays with it daily. It’s been through a few “surgeries” a neck re-stitching, 2 leg sew re-attatchments, and a tail re-attachmennt! LOL But he’s still kicking, and still putting a smile on both of our faces! : )

My daughter has bad eczema, allergies & asthma, so of course the allergy & asthma friendly ones are interesting to me.
It would be a nice surprise to win any of them though!!
    Cute!

I love stuffed animals and it’s no big secret. My granddaughter and I call them “cuddlies” she always checks with me before getting a new “cuddly” to make sure its “just right”

I LOVE stuffed animals. I had a bunch as a kid, but My Mom got rid of most of them. Now I have to use my son as a “reason” why I need to get some more. :)

I was deprived as a child - not much in the way of stuffed animals. I got my first teddy bear when I bought myself one in college. Since then, I have gotten a few. :) LOVE the soft cuddly ones. My favorite are the panda bears, so my dd (age 5) has taken on that love as well, and now sleeps with two stuffed pandas, one named Panda (she’s had him for about 3 years now, and he goes places with us often), and the other named Peanut.

When I was growing up I remember my mom unstuffing several of my stuffed animals and restuffing them. Wish they’d had these years ago.

  • My love isn’t so hidden, I’m afraid. I still have my first stuffed animals: my Bugs from Kiddie Kingdom still has a place of honor on my bed. Paddington Bear that I “stole” as a two year old (I didn’t know how Toy ‘R Us worked, I swear, and my gram bought him for me after I walked out the store) is in the lower level playroom for my kids to play with (still wearing the vest I made for him when I was in the fifth grade). And my little dog that wound up to play a lullabye while its head wound in slow circles is on my daughter’s shelf in her bedroom.

Beyond that, I have Patrick the Pup (the big one) from FAO Schwartz that an ex-BF bought for me many moons ago. While I let my cats periodically misbehave by dumping over cups of water or jumping on the coffee table, if I see them going near Patrick, I break out the spray bottle and shoo them away.

I also have four ride on jungle animals (giraffe, elephant, tiger and lion) that hold up to 150 pounds each (they’re only about 2 feet tall — and yes, I did say *only*) that I bought for … my kids. About a year before I got pregnant with my son (he was a blessed accident).

I have the original Santa Bear (for those who remember Daytons before it was even Dayton Hudson), as well as Mrs Santabear and three others. They also ride on the jungle animals — two astride each animal.

When I quit work to stay home with my kids, a woman I work with went to the department store chain I worked on and found *their* version of Santabear and gave that to me as my going away present. This dog also has a place of honor on my bed with Bugs.

My lower level is finished and where we have the kids’ playroom. One entire wall is filled with the animals that were once mine and now “belong” to my kids, although certain one (Patrick) requires my permission and supervision to play with.

I’ve yet to have to buy my kids a single stuffed animal because they have plenty of mine to pass down… and then some. That hasn’t stopped me though. When I was in NYC in January, I came home with a Pooh dressed for winter for Mister Man and a dog dressed in a plaid coat for Little Miss.

I think I need to join SAA.
