Healthy Eating at a Glance

I have two toddler girls (sympathy much?), and knowing what to feed them in what proportions can be a difficult task while I’m cleaning spilled yogurt while fixing dinner while looking my absolute best in my fancy t-shirt and perfectly un-coiffed hair.

I’m so glad to have discovered the kid’s plates Super Healthy Kids to help me quickly see how much of each food group to serve my kiddos. The plate gets major bonus points for being so cute and attractive to my girls. Bonus, bonus - the plate is super durable. That way I don’t have to worry if my little Trouble decides to see how far she can throw her beans and her plate together. Triple bonus - the plate is ONLY $5.99!

Amy, the President of Super Healthy Kids, says this about her plate: “It’s not about denying, depriving, measuring, disciplining etc. It can be about enjoying wonderful, whole, natural food and realizing you feel better when you eat well. And the more the kids learn, the more empowered they will be to make good choices on their own.” Amy has blog that features healthy eating tips for kids at http://blog.superhealthykids.com/. Check it out for some great tips on how to trick teach your kids to eat healthy foods.

Wanna win a plate of your own for your kids? Enter a comment here with your kiddo’s favorite fruit or veggie, and we’ll pick TWO winners on Wed, March 12th, at 11:59pm. We’ll post the winners here on MamasLike and on Prizey.Fetch. But don’t worry, we’ll email the 2 winners, too.
So, put down that carrot stick you’re munching on, and enter below!

My 19 month old loves broccoli and corn on the cob. My 6 year old has declared a moritorium on most vegetables (she used to eat everything), but will willingly eat carrot sticks as long as there’s some ranch to dip them in. I have 4 year old twin boys. One is basically a fruitarian - anything from the fruit family is at the top of his list, but he especially loves strawberries. His brother eats veggies like you wouldn’t believe. Presented with a plate containing pizza and broccoli, he’ll always devour the broccoli and request more before he even touches the pizza! Friends told me two years ago that he’d outgrow this, but so far it hasn’t happened.
