She's in the largest ones now. She started walking just a month after we got home, and I was home with her a few months so these were pretty much the only shoes she wore when we went out somewhere(except, as someone mentioned, church). She absolutely loves them, and I enjoyed being able to keep track of her. When she started day care I had pity on the workers there and got her some shoes that did not squeak. You should have seen her face the first time she wore those -- she stomped her feet and looked up at me quizzically, as if to say, "MOM! These are broken!" We have a daughter adopted from China, too, and we came home with three pairs of squeaky shoes in three different sizes. She’s in the largest ones now. Good friends of mine adopted a daughter from China last year. She's three years old this month. As Michele mentioned, they are a big deal in Asia and my friends bought many pairs in the largest sizes available. Sadly, she grew out of them this summer.
