And So We Meet
Dawn and her brood flew into town today, and the whole city was chilled. No really. She brought in the cold from the
Midwest. Well, cold for Orlando. In the 70s. On her blog yesterday, Dawn wrote about the pending weather forecast, but I have positive vibes out that it will NOT rain, just stay niiice and cool.
The fam and I drove down to her family’s hotel tonight to meet and have dinner. Let me tell you. This place is A.W.E.S.O.M.E. They are staying in a 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom, 6th-story villa overlooking the pools (yes, pools) and lake. She says it’s bigger than her house. Seriously. AND it has a jet tub. Fabulous!
SeaWorld has set them up right!
About Dawn’s kids, no matter what she might say, her kids are incredible. I have only two toddlers of my own, and that’s a handful. With six kids, I couldn’t even imagine traveling across the country. But I would with her kids. They are kind, they are well-behaved, they are agreeable, and they LISTEN for the most part! Granted, I was witnessing all of this when they had just
flown into a dream vacation, so I’m sure the fear of God was instilled in them to behave. They are great kids!
During dinner we met Casper. A bird. On the shoulder of a strange toothless man. Who approached our kids without asking permission. It was kind of creepy, but like any other crazy mother, we grabbed our cameras and clicked.
We’ll be meeting up again on Saturday at SeaWorld, so we’ll have lots more to tell you about then! Dawn doesn’t have a computer with her unless I take mine for her to borrow (like I did tonight), so if you’d like to leave her a comment here instead of her main blog, please do! LOOK! She vacation blogs, too! Well, at least checks her hundreds of emails.

How fab for you all! We love Seaworld.
You mean no-one has given Dawn a laptop yet? Maybe we need to get onto someone - how can we survive without her daily doings?
Glad to hear the family got down there ok. Enjoy your time together. Kids should have a blast (adults too). Can’t wait to read an update.
Have a blast!
Sounds like an AMAZING trip! Please let the folks there know that my family and I are willing to accept their generosity too!
Have a great trip! I absolutely love seeing nice things happen to good people.
Glad to hear that the trip down there went alright. Hope you guys have a blast, can’t wait to read about it and see the pictures!
Maybe you guys should drive over.. We’re having BEANS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you all have a blast … it is wonderful that you are getting together … wish I was in a villa this weekend … hope the rain stays away! I will be looking forward to more chatting!
Holy moley, you have a whole new blog!!! Good for you, have a great time on your trip!
Hope everyone is having a terrific time. Its kinda sad that in this world you do have to be so careful of people with your kids. Hubby and I often have to remind ourselves that our enjoyment of watching kids can be misread and cause some anxious moments for parents. Cool parrot.
My DH keeps bugging me to move to Orlando. I say no way. Love your blog! Have a fun time!
I think I may be having one of those “small world” moments. I’ve been reading Dawn’s blog ever since the now-famous Pokemon e-bay thing. Today, I checked out this blog thanks to Dawn’s link. As soon as I opened the site, I saw the photo of the two of you. I immediately saidt, “I think I went to high school with Angie!” Are you Jackie’s sister?! If so, then yes, we are fellow alum. Let me know, okay?
How fun you two are! Glad you got to meet and will look forward to today’s report!
I am so glad that your trip is going well!!
Hey - Glad your troop arrived safe and sound. Enjoy EVERY MINUTE of it! We all anxiously await stories and pictures!
Glad to SEE both you Mamas! We’ve sure missed your regular postings, Dawn…but it’s great to know you’re having such a fab time! And PRIVATE CABANNA, huh? ::wiggles eyebrows:: Sounds great!
And don’t you worry about blogging…just have a fantabulous time! Just like Shamu, we’re all waiting with ‘baited’ breath to hear all about your trip when you return!
I’m glad y’all are having a great time. When when went to Sea World SA this summer, it rained the whole time! Does gully washer mean anything to you? Anyway, we all stayed squeaky clean! Have great rest of the trip!

I’m sure the kids are every bit as well behaved as you described. I’ve found that larger families are the best behaved. I’m glad everyone is having fun, and hope the weather is good.
You gals are awesome! I’m glad tha toyu got to get together while she was down there! Come on by for my giveaways too!
