3, 2, 1, Baby!
When I was a kid, my sister and I always looked forward to Christmas with much anticipation. To help make those long days until Christmas pass a little more quickly, my grandmother used to make us advent calendars by tying pieces of candy to a long, red ribbon. Each day from December 1st until Christmas, we enjoyed a piece of candy. This made waiting until Christmas a little sweeter!

As an adult I looked forward with much anticipation to the birth of each of my babies. I marked days off my calendar until I reached my due date and usually beyond! Sara from Norwood Arts has come up with a fun way to count down to baby’s due date. Her countdown boxes come with ten individually boxed items. You open one item every day starting ten days before you’re due.
You can order a baby girl, baby boy, or gender neutral box. Each box contains such goodies as nail clippers, a bib, booties, a pacifier, teether, or a spoon. What a fun, different gift for a baby shower! If you love the idea of the countdown box, but want to choose your own items with which to fill the boxes, you can order a countdown box complete with ten smaller boxes that you can fill with whatever you’d like.
Norwood Arts has the cutest selection of photo cards for Christmas and Birth Announcements. Visit the site to check out the huge selection of cards available just in time for Christmas.
Sara is giving away your choice of a Countdown box or set of Holiday Cards to our readers. Leave a comment for your chance to win! A winner will be chosen on November 21st and contacted by Sara. (When leaving a comment, please do not leave your contact info directly in the comment box.)

Love this ideal! Perfect for impatient ppl.
I love the idea about the countdown boxes…a good friend is due in January and I may looking into getting that for her…tahnk you.
These are great! I got to see one a few months ago. I’ll definitely be contacting Norwood Arts for one for my friend who’s due in May.
Those Countdown boxes look really cool. My SIL is expecting sometime in January, or Febuary.
These are the greatest idea, but then I am a bit prejudiced. Sara is my own baby so this Mama is firmly in favor of the count down boxes.

How awesome are these! With three LONG pregnancies and bedrest, this would have been an awesome way to countdown the days!

Great idea, but it wouldn’t have worked for me since I never made it to my due date (12 days early, 12 days early, 5 days early). Cute concept. The card is beautiful too.
I love these!!! How fun! I just found out I’m preggo with #4 and my babies come on time or LATE so I’d definately get to use them!!!
I used these for shower gifts last year - one came filled and other other I filled with local items for a friend. Both were well received and are actually being re-used this holiday season for the babies they originally welcomed. I’m glad to hear the the word is getting out about Norwood Arts!
The countdown box is such a wonderful idea!
what a neat idea! i could have used that about 6 months ago!!
This sounds like a very cute idea. Simple yet exciting.
What an awesome gift idea! Especially for 1st time mommies! Definitely something I will remember for the next baby shower I attend!
The countdown box is a great way to help the
last few days of waiting for the baby pass by quickly.
I actually went shopping once with Sara for items to
be placed in each box.Sara was very particular as to
what she chose for items.I was impressed at how much
Sara could fit in each box.I was sold.I have ordered
two of these boxes so far.
When the countdown box is opened much excitement and
conversation develops.I wish everyone that is expecting
could receive a countdown box.
What an awesome idea!!
Man where were these when I was pregnant!
What a GREAT X-mas present this would make for pregnant friends!!
The countdown boxes would be perfect for a friend of mine that is due next month!
Love this idea! I’ll definitely pursue this purchase (if I don’t win) for a friend who’s due with child #1 in May.
The countdown boxes are a very cool idea! Please enter me in the drawing!
What a neat idea! Fantastic! How do you guys find these things?!
Cute, fun gift! I plan to order one for my friend due at the end of January! She will love it!
Both look great. A hard decision! Sign me up please.
What a great idea! I read a book called “your pregnancy week by week” when I had my boys and each day I looked forward to the next weeks reading. A present each week would be more fun! Ever consider making a 40 week set with something like puzzle pieces in it or something to look forward to?
Love it! My SIL is pregnant with baby #2 due in February. She would adore this!
So cool! I love those!
What a great idea. I love the countdown box and the labels you provide (to download) so the box can be reused.
This is really neat!
Ok, if I win this thing I already know I want a Girl box to give to a friend who is expecting.
This sounds like such a cool idea!!!
These boxes are the cutest idea ever. I want to get one for the baby i am carrying now!
I was pregnant with triplets and every day you are pregnant is a real challenge. What a great idea to encourage you to make it through each day!
the countdown box is really neat - I just had my little girl, 4 days earlier than scheduled but I am so glad she came when she did! The countdown box would have been fun, I had a stressful pregnancy and it would have been something fun to do for myself! Everyone should get one of these. Oh, and I love photo Christmas cards!
What a great idea!! I almost want to get pregnant again to get one!
I can’t even think of one of my friends who is pregnant now…OY! I know I know someone who is having a kid!!
What a great idea - and I LOVE all the cards. I try every year to find a different card than anyone else to send out.
I would love to win!!
Sara is very creative with her countdown to baby boxes and puts a lot of idividual attention into each project.
Here’s an idea how about sending these boxes to expecting grandparents? Everyone knows that grandparents need 1 of everything at their house for those days when grandbabies come to visit!
